Abstract
The lack of knowledge regarding the toroidal coil winding equipment hampers the growth of the toroid as first choice for transformers, inductors and other electrical applications. The author discusses the different components of toroidal coil winding machine and their functions; the different types of toroidal coil winding equipment, their application and comparative advantages/disadvantages; and general mathematical calculations required for selecting the appropriate toroidal coil winding equipment.
