Abstract
The research question addressed in this project was, how can the principles of applied behavior analysis in a second grade classroom contribute to behavior management and creating a successful learning environment? A vast amount of research on the relevance of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to the classroom, but a relative absence of documented applications was the key influence of this study. The impact of ABA interventions on the behavior of three students displaying challenging behaviors in the classroom was studied. Conclusions from the study include a high degree of efficacy for ABA interventions in managing challenging behaviors and a positive impact on the learning environment. The author demonstrated that the ABA interventions employed also supported the other behavior management frameworks that were already in place in the classroom.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
