Abstract
Twenty-one-centimeter observations of the galactic poles lead to a mass of optically thin neutral atomic hydrogen in the Galaxy in the range 2.3 to 2.9 X t0 Alo on the assumption that the hydrogen is a uniform disk with a radius of 15 kpc.
