Abstract
A method is developed for calculating the thermodynamic characteristics of a thermal compressor working in accordance with the modified Stirling cycle. It is found that high thermal efficiency can be obtained only for low values of the relative output. Graphs are presented for use in selecting the optimum operational conditions for the thermal compressor.
