Abstract
NIT's optical access network in FTTH era and its key-devices of optical cross-connect switches are explained. Newly developed micro-mechanical optical switches for stand-by optical subscriber units (OSUs) in optical line terminals (OLTs) and remote controlled fiber cross-connecting switches for fiber termination modules (FTMs) are introduced in detail.
