Abstract
Background : to analyze the indices of cellular and humoral immunity in children with chronic Viral Hepatitis C (VHC) in replicative phase before and after therapy. Materials and methods. For the determination of immune status we made tests of blood serum in children with VHC in replicative phase. Identification of lymphocytes and their subpopulations was carried out using the standard method of indirect immunofluorescence. For determination of circulating immune complexes in blood serum we used the method of precipitation. Results. Indices of cellular and humoral immunity of children before and after therapy were verified. The immune status of children with chronic VHС showed signs of combined immune insufficiency. The analysis of immunogram identified disbalance both of cellular and humoral immunity. In immune status in children with VHC in replicative phase prior to treatment showed signs of combined immune deficiency which improved after the treatment. The observed increase of immune complexes can determine the progressive course of chronic hepatitis C in children in replicative phase before the start of treatment.
