Infection Control Policy , NSW Health is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all patients and visitors in health care settings and providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. This commitment includes adopting an infection control policy position that minimises the risk of health care consumers and providers acquiring a health care associated or occupational infection. This document outlines the broad principles of infection control and is intended as a framework within which Area Health Services and health care facilities can develop comprehensive operational infection control policies and procedures appropriate to their own organisation.
