Abstract
We present observations of HCN, HNC, and their isotopically substituted variants towards the Orion hot core and ridge. We used mainly the IRAM 30-m dish with an angular resolution of typically 25″, but we have also made a map of the HC 15 N(J=1-0) transition using the Plateau de Bure Interferometer with an angular resolution of 4″. We determined the HCN, HNC and DCN abundances and estimated density and kinetic temperature at seventeen selected positions in OMC-1.
