Abstract

Two caridean prawns belonging to the family Pandalidae, Heterocarpoides levicarim (Bate) and Parapandalus longkauda Rathbun are recorded for the first time from Indian waters. The crangonid prawn Pontocaris pennata Bate is also reported in the prawn fishery at Kakinada area.
