Abstract

Analyses the cost-structure of a non-traditional public transport firm that provides both motorbus mass transit and dial-a-ride and van-pool paratransit services, as well as contracted-out service in the US, the Tidewater Transportation District Commission. Contracted-out means in this case a subscription paratransit service for elderly and handicapped under contract with public and non-profit agencies.
