Abstract
It is in the nature of communication systems that multiple systems operating in the same spectrum needs to coexist in harmony. This requirement is essential and the MIMO system that we have designed using MB-OFDM also needs to work in an environment in which systems like Wi-Fi, WiMAX, etc. also works. To achieve this, we have focused on use of Active Interference cancellation techniques for MIMO systems to reduce the need for a predetermined interference calculation that is absolute and cannot be changed on short notice or be varied with respect to the prevailing environmental conditions on a real time basis. The choice of MIMO system is to achieve high data rate in short range communication. Moreover, the improvement in the notch depth is still enriched by the proposed method. The main advantage for the improving of notch depth is that it reduces the side lobes there by concentrating the power to the main lobe. This increases the efficiency of the communication network and also reduces the interference. A neural network is a tool that is able to predict an output when it recognizes a given input pattern. In this paper neural network is used to train the system for the desired output and the expected goal is reached. Back propagation algorithm is used to train the system. Cognitive radio is a technique used for efficient spectrum utilization. Spectrum sensing is the gate way for cognition cycle. We have focused on energy detection based spectrum sensing.
