This paper briefly reviews the research and development status of a class of space propulsion devices commonly called low thrust systems, and discusses their potential performance capability for space missions.Some conclusions are drawn concerning the most expeditious way to realize the potential benefits of these systems for space exploration.w m I CD w sounds weak and undesirable.
