Abstract
The concept of transactions is widely used not just for the database applications development, but is also useful in building robust and reliable applications. Recently, the distributed object technology has been recognised as an effective distributed programming paradigm with the ability to support networked heterogeneous computing. The convergence of those two technologies resulted in the distributed object programming environment with the support of transaction service. The Object Transaction Service (OTS) is a part of CORBAservices specification that provides transaction processing facilities on top of Object Request Broker technology. This paper discusses two methods of transaction context propagation and evaluates them in the simulated distributed transactional environment.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
