Abstract
Consideration is given to the possibility of providing a larger working section for the hypersonic tunnel, end extending its Mach number range. Performance calculations are given which show that tests could usefully be made up to Mach numbers of about 12, and that the working section size could be increased to about 15 in x 15 in. It is concluded that the best way of incorporating the necessary modifications would be to add a second leg to the tunnel.
