Abstract
A simple, rapid and reliable gas chromatographic method for the determination of anethol, borneol, camphor, camphene, eucalyptol, fenchon, menthol, methyl salicylate and pinene in ointments and liquid preparations for external use is described. Using 10% FFAP on chromosorb W(AW) 60/80 column and flame ionization detector, this method results in great accuracy. The maximum error was less than 1%.
