This publication contains a collection of the standards and guidelines on food labelling published in various volumes of the Codex Alimentarius, to allow their wide use and understanding by governments, regulatory authorities, food industries, retailers and consumers. The topics covered include labelling of food additives, claims for special dietary uses, nutrition labelling, health claims, and the use of the term 'Halal'.
