Abstract

Many religious crises in Nigeria have arisen due to the intolerance of various religious groups in the country. Often, this results from the suspicion with which each group holds the other. This is particularly the case between adherents of Christian and Muslim religions. This has weakened national unity and has affected the perception of Nigerians of the government.
