Abstract
The family Tropiduchidae Stal, 1866 is devided into two subfamilies – Tropiduchinae Stal, 1866 and Elicinae Melichar, 1915. Gaetuliina Fennah, 1978 is placed in synonymy under Elicina Melichar, 1915. A new tribe Parathisciini trib. n. is erected for four African genera (Hemithiscia Schmidt, 1912 (= Thinea Melichar, 1914), Paraphilatis Melichar, 1914, Parathiscia Melichar, 1901, Pseudothiscia Schmidt, 1912) treated before as the members of the family Acanaloniidae. Chrysopuchus nigrolineatus gen. et sp. n. representing a new tribe, Chrysopuchini trib. n. of the subfamily Tropiduchinae, is described from Madagascar. (© 2013 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
