Abstract
Data on 275 Rambouillet ewes maintained at Govt. Sheep Breeding Farm, Reasi were analyzed for age at first fertile service and age at first lambing. Least square analysis of variance for age at first fertile service showed that season of birth had a significant effect and year of birth had non significant effect on age at first fertile service. Age at first lambing showed that season of birth had a significant effect on the trait while regression was found to be highly significant. Year of birth of lambs was non-significant on age at first lambing. Least square analysis of variance shows that season of birth had a significant effect on the trait while regression was found to be highly significant. Year of birth of lambs was non-significant on age at first lambing.
