Abstract

AIM:To study the chemical constituents of Viola yedoensis, and its active components.METHODS:The Compounds were isolated and purified by chromatography and their structures were identified by spectral data and other methods.RESULTS:Eleven compounds were isolated and identified as aesculetin(1), scopoletin(2), cichoriin(3), prionanthoside(4), esculin(5), euphorbetin(6), quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucoside(7), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucoside(8), apigenin(9), β-sitosterol(10), daucosterol(11).CONCLUSION:esculin, and daucosterol were obtained from Viola for the first time, and quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucoside, kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucoside, cichoriin, prionanthoside, apigenin were firstly isolated from Viola yedoensis.
