Abstract

In order to obtain cost effective design for the neutrino factory and a front end of the muon collider compact rings for muon ionization cooling have been proposed in various schemes. Nevertheless muon cooling rings show several difficulties, which make their design a very challenging subject. In order to obtain space necessary for injection/extraction systems, 4 m long straight section has to be matched to low beta cooling section. Adiabatic matching is discussed, which was proposed as a solution for broad momentum deviation.
