Abstract

We present the results of the introduction of rhododendron ( Rhododendron L., Ericaceae) in the Botanical Garden of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod. An annotated list of 69 species, forms and varieties of rhododendrons is given with the description of their appearance, winter hardiness under conditions of the Botanical Garden as well as the information about their origin. The results of 35 year work with this group of plants are described.
