Abstract
An extended model of nonlinear loudspeaker distortion represents both closed- and vented-box systems. The nonlinear parameters, which vary with voice-coil displacement, are measured dynamically, and the coefficients in their series expansions are determined. This method identifies the dominant causes of distortion and suggests constructional improvements
