Abstract
Abstract : IDA Paper P-2162, Ada Software Engineering Education and Training Requirements Within the U.S. Army, provides the results of a study that examined the Ada software engineering education and training needs of the U.S. Army. This study began with an in-depth look at the structure of the Army to identify all job classifications that may have an impact on the hardware and/or software life cycle. The next step was to identify the types of education and or training necessary for these job categories and where Army personnel may obtain the required training. The final step was to identify any deficiencies in the area of Ada software engineering education and training within the U.S. Army and make the appropriate recommendations to the Ada Joint Program Office (AJPO).
