Abstract
Large sized corms took significantly mor number of days for sprouting but induced early flowering and recorded increased plant height, leaf breadth, length of spike and rachis, number of florets per spike and number of cormels per plant with corresponding increase in weight when compared to medium or small sized corms. Number of leaves, scape, spike and corm produced per plant, width of scape, size of fully opened florets, duration of flowering and diameter of individual corm and its corresponding weight were not significantly influenced by different size of mother corms in the present study.
