Abstract
Combinations of atrazine (2-chloro-4-ethylamino-6-isopropylaniino-5-triazine) at 1.0 kg/ha+paraquat (1, l’-dimethyl-4, 4’-bipyridinlium-dichloride) 2.0 kg/ha and atrazine 1.0 kg/ha+dalapon (2, 2-dichloropropionic acid) 2.0 kg/ha sprayed post-emergence to weeds after harvest of each cutting of ramie were found to be the effective herbicides giving yield increases of 95 and 45 per cent respectively, over hand weeding. The herbicide treatments did not have any adverse effect on ramie plants
