Abstract This chapter on the insect pests of lentil covers the following: estimation of losses caused by the insect pest complex; viruses/diseases transmitted by insect pests (including lentil yellows disease, Bean yellow mosaic virus, Broad bean stain virus, Pea seed-borne mosaic virus, and Cucumber mosaic virus); cultural, biological and chemical control methods; and host plant resistance.
