Abstract
Recently, there have been lots of interests on multiple antenna schemes such as massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) and mm-wave systems where a large number of antennas are employed such as 64 antennas. In addition, numerous researches and developments have been conducted for classical MIMO systems such as 3x3, 4x4 and up to 8x8 MIMO schemes including WiFi 802.11.ac or LTE-advanced. In order to achieve satisfactory performance, a proper MIMO detection method needs to be employed considering the size, performance and implementation complexity. In this paper, we discuss on the design method considering these issues and their tradeoffs.
