Abstract

Trials with the Iron Highway prototype integral train were completed last month at the Association of American Railroads' Transportation Test Center in Pueblo, Colorado. Aimed at the US short haul market which railways have practically abandoned to trucks, its novel technology offers cost and quality incentives to entice truckers to switch to rail.
