Abstract

This chapter provides details of structure-based design of second-generation non-nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors, etravirine and rilpivirine, for the treatment of HIV/AIDS. This chapter also outlines X-ray structural studies of HIV reverse transcriptase with various inhibitors and structure–activity studies.
