On some new records of penaeid prawns from theEast coast of India

Abstract
Solenocera melantho de Man, Solenocera pectinata (Bate), Parapenaeopsis tenella
(Bate), Parapenaeopsis cornuta (Kishinouye), Tracfiypenaeus sediti Hall, Trachypenaeus
granulosus (Haswell), Metapenaeopsh mogiensis (Rathbun), Metapenaeopsis Itilarulus (de
Man) and Sicyonia lancifer (Olivier) are recorded for the first time from the east coast of
India. Differences noticed from the existing descriptions and other relevant rriorpholOgical
features are recorded.
