Abstract
Fifteen genera of plant-parasitic or suspected plant-parasitic nematodes were identified from 128 cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) samples taken in the States of Aragua, Carabobo, Yaracuy, Miranda, and Sucre, Venezuela. Helicotylenchus was the genus most frequently observed. Other genera included Meloidogyne, Paratylenchus, Rotylenchulus, Pratylenchus, Peltamigratus, Tylenchorhynchus, Trophurus, Criconemoides, Hemicriconemoides, Trichodorus, Xiphinema, Alphelenchoides, Tylenchus, and Psilenchus.
