Abstract
The most distinguishing feature of software, compared to that of hardware, is the concept of time. Time is the most frequently used means (measure, metrics) to evaluate reliability of hardware. That is, time is regarded as a statistical variable, and the focus is on long a function requires to be performed. On the other hand, the concept of “when” is critical to software. That is the question of when do we need to debug software under development, and how many times do we need to test to verify the error fix, and when can it be release? It is because of the fact that most software is closely related to ‘Business-Critical’ environment. Therefore, this thesis suggests improved CBD methodology in order to guarantee Business-Critical of software, and through the methodology we would like to improve the reliability of software.
