Abstract

Juvenile hormone I and III were identified as the predominant hormones in the nymphs and adult females of Blattella germanica (L.) (Dictyoptera: Blattellidae), respectively, by using thin layer chromatography (TLC) and high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). The volumes of corpora allata of adult females followed a characteristic growth pattern during the 1st gonadotrophic cycle that lasted for seven days.
