Abstract
BaO nanostructure was successfully synthesized by a chemical bath deposition method. The morphology, microstructure, and composition of the BaO nanostructure were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy. The BaO nanostructure showed good field emission properties, and the emitters constructed of BaO nanostructure exhibited a low turn-on field, a low threshold field, a high field enhancement factor. Flexible field emission device was made using the BaO nanostructure emitters. Our flexible field emission device using BaO nanostructure emitters generate very uniform and bright emission patterns under convex bending conditions. These results demonstrate that BaO nanostructure emitters could be important candidates for flexible field emission devices in the future.
