Abstract
The computation algorithm of the scattering matrix of the U-shaped slot resonator in the ground plane of a microstrip line by the transverse resonance was developed. Analysis of this discontinuity is based on the expansion of the electromagnetic field in a slot resonator in the ground plane in terms of odd TE- and TH-modes of a U-waveguide. The spectral characteristic of the unit cell and scattering signature for finite number of units of the microstrip-slotline structure in the frequency band (2…6) GHz are presented.
