Abstract
The present experiment was conducted to study the response of soil application of Zn and seed soaking and or foliar spray of thiourea and kinetin on okra. The increasing levels of zinc upto 5.0 kg ha1 brought substantial improvement in all characters (plant height, number of branches, number of leaves, main stem girth and chlorophyll content of leaf), yield attributes (fruit length, fruit diameter, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight and yield per plant), fruit yield (192.79qha−1). The treatment 500 ppm thiourea seed soaking+ 500 ppm thiourea sprays at vegetative and flowering stages provided higher values of all growth characters (plant height, no. of branches, no. of leaves, main stem girth and chlorophyll content of leaf), yield attributes (fruit length, fruit diameter, No.of fruits/plant, fruit weight and yield/plant) fruit yield (191.08 q ha−1).
