Leiomyosarcoma of Urinary Bladder in Young Female Presenting with Gross Hematuria: Report of a Case

Gross hematuria is a common presentation of urinary tract infection in young females. Non-urothelial neoplasms of the bladder account for fewer than 5% of all bladder tumors. We present a case seen at the emergency department of our hospital, presenting with gross hematuria and symptoms of urinary tract infection. A comprehensive investigation revealed the presence of malignancy. The patient then underwent surgical treatment in the form of partial cystectomy. There are so far no signs of recurrence of the disease during the follow-up period for one year.
