Abstract
Beta distributions are members of the celebrated Pearson system and have been widely utilized in all branches of sciences – both soft and hard. They are intrinsically related to the incomplete beta function ratio and the incomplete beta function. In this chapter we present discussions on the (generalized) beta distribution of the second kind, Singh–Maddala distribution, Dagum distribution, Fisk and Lomax distributions. The chapter concludes with a discussion on the (generalized) beta distribution of the first kind.
