Abstract

Nowadays prosperous conditions for electronicbusiness development have been formed due to intensiveprocesses of globalization and increasing extents ofcompetition. Development of traditional business processesis not sufficient in order to reach long-lasting effect andwishes to survive in competitive surrounding determine useof electronic business potential, which can help to get acompetitive advantage. The basis of electronic business isapplication of information and communication technologieshaving changed the usual conception of business andhaving formed the conditions for business developmentworldwide. The extents of business partners’ cooperationdetermine improving of electronic business models.The term ”business model” is used in the context oftraditional and Internet business. In a general sensebusiness model is a method of business organization in acompany and its major aim is profit. As the processes ofglobalization have been taking place, development ofinformation technologies determines the changes in theprocesses of business organization and in the conceptionof traditional business models. The importance ofElectronic business models increases due to constantbroadening of extents of corporations’ activity.The analysis of the conception of Electronic businessmodels working and the problem aspects is presented inthe article. With the reference to the analysis of academicworks the conceptions of traditional business and Internetbusiness are summarized, the structure of electronicbusiness model is described. The classification of electronicbusiness models according to the consumer’s type isoffered. Considering Electronic business models, whichare used in usual practice, the analysis of four businessmodels, their characteristics, advantages and disadvantagesis presented. The greatest attention in the article is focusedon the models business-to-business, business-to-consumer,government-to-business, government-to-consumer.Use of electronic business models gives companiespossibility to survive under the conditions of competition,to reach greater markets, educate loyal consumers. However,it is impossible to single out one concrete electronicbusiness model in most companies’ activity as in practiceseveral Electronic business models are combined in orderto get the greatest efficiency. So the backgrounds ofinteraction between Electronic business models areemphasized in the article. Considering to the analysis ofacademic literature it is possible to maintain that interactionbetween Electronic business models takes place in thecontext of globalization, educated society and government.
