Σ−p , Ξ−p , and π−p Elastic Scattering at 23 GeV/c

Abstract
We present results from a measurement of the differential cross sections for ${\ensuremath{\Sigma}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$, ${\ensuremath{\Xi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$, and ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$ elastic scattering at 23 GeV/c. We have collected samples of 6200 ${\ensuremath{\Sigma}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$ events, 67 ${\ensuremath{\Xi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$ events, and 30 000 ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$ events in the interval $0.10<|t|<0.23$ ${(\mathrm{G}\mathrm{e}\mathrm{V}/\mathit{c})}^{2}$.
