Abstract

Five hundred and forty nine isolates of Bacillus spp. sporeforming bacteria were obtained from soil, water, and mosquito larval samples collected in various localities of Yogyakarta Special Territory, Central Java and East Java. Four isolates were toxic to Culex quinquefasciatus; they belong to the species of Bacillus sphaericus (ascession number 23A and 51C), Bacillus cereus (ascession number 142A), and Bacillus pumilus (ascession number 25C).
