Abstract
This paper focuses on the role of public agencies in the deployment maintenance, and operation of Intelligent Vehicle Highway Systems (IVHS) programs. Multi-jurisdictional coordination, technical expertise, and funding mechanisms are needed to insure public agency support of IVHS.
