I focused on comparison past and present in several respects: school equipment (furniture, safety, appearance of the classroom), the use of teaching aids in the classroom, relations between teachers and students, school documentation, evaluation (numerical and descriptive assessment, behavioral assessment), nutrition (variety of foods, the amount of food), clothes (school uniforms), extracurricular activities, school clubs, extended stay in school. \nIn the first part of my thesis, I introduced Dobrnič place, its location, climatic characteristics, surface, historical development and urban development. I also mentioned important people, who lived in Dobrnič and the most important among them is Friderik Irenej Baraga. \nThen I described branch school Dobrnič, its district, cooperation between school and the village. I also described the development of education of Dobrnič branch school from 1874, when school is mentioned for the first time. I gathered all information about school history in School chronicles, which are saved in Zgodovinski muzej Ljubljana. \nWhen school Dobrnič celebrated 200th anniversary, the book School in the arms of past and present was published. \nDissertation contains didactic part, in which I made an interview with former teacher in school Dobrnič. \nIn empirical part I wanted to know, what was different in school, when pupil's parents went there. So I made questionnaires about making homework, relations between teachers and pupils, school discipline. \n
