PCa型枠工法は, 省力化や工期短縮を目的として開発され実用化が進んでいる。建築分野では床スラブや外壁のハーフPCa型枠の実績が多いが, 最近でははりや柱部材を対象に薄肉PCa型枠の実績も増えている。また土木分野では, 省力化だけでなく高耐久性能を期待したPCa型枠の開発も行われている。
