Open publisher page 12 citations

Abstract

In this thesis, different characteristics of the hair coat of the Lutrinae were investigated: - variability of the primary hair structure in the Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra) - hair structure of the 13 otter species - hair density of the Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra) and the Sea otter (Enhydra lutris) Also, the regulation of heat loss through the surface of the body was studied using an infrared thermographic camera.
