Abstract

With the advent of the nuclear gauge, rapid determination of density has simplified field density and moisture control during construction significantly. The rapid feedback of information provides the earthworks engineer with a means to adapt to changing field conditions without delay. The acceptance time of layer work can also be considerably reduced.
