Abstract
Morton Thiokol, Inc. and Control Dynamics Company performed independent stability and performance analyses on the T-97 test facility for imposing lateral forces on a Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) during static firings. The results of these analyses and the methodology in reaching a final prediction with comparisons to actual test data are the subjects of this paper.
