The relations between innovation and internationalization, and between innovation and business performance: evidence from companies operating in Brazil

Even after several hours, days, and months-why not years?-ofhard work, I remain convinced that this dissertation is only one tiny brick on the wall of knowledge.Tiny because many honorable men have striven to conduct conducive research before me and therefore, they have tried to provide mankind with more and vast knowledge.I am just one more piece within this game.I guess this collective effort is the essence of Science and eventually may the humankind thrive over the long haul.Therefore, this is no oneman effort.Even this tiny brick is a result of several contributions from nobles who believe in better Science: scholars, practitioners, professors, colleagues, and friends.I would like to highlight my immense gratitude to my dear parents, who have understood my absence during never ending busy mornings, afternoons, and evenings.My personal sacrifice has become theirs and this is only possible when mutual love is present.Thank you my beloved family.
