Abstract

Polarisation mode dispersion (PMD) measurement using Stokes parameters loses in-phase component of two orthogonally polarized mode phase shifts, which results in singular points in commonly used PMD measure. We introduce simultaneous measurement for correct PMD and group delay dispersion.
